We are Hiring a UWindsor Undergraduate SoCA Visual Arts Students!

Job Title: INCUBATOR Art Lab Research and Studio Assistant

This job will include virtual and on campus duties. Applicants should live in the Windsor/Essex Region, and also have access to at home computing and internet services.

Job Purpose: The undergraduate visual arts students will be hired to assist Dr. Jennifer Willet with the following studio duties in INCUBATOR Art Lab:
Work as studio art and research assistants, assisting Dr. Willet with studio-based materials research. This includes duties such as: studio work (drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, video, multimedia, photography.)
Assist with INCUBATOR Art Lab social media and online research.
Serve as studio monitor maintaining the studio open to the public. (2 people at all times)
Assist with tidying, inventory, and maintenance of the studio.
Assist with hosting workshops and events in the studio.

Required skills / Qualifications:
Ignite Student employees should be in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th year of a BA/BFA Degree with previous employment experience. Preference will be given to 2nd year students.
Excellent organization skills, and ability to prioritize work duties.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) to interact with a diverse lab community of students, staff, artists and researchers.
Excellent creative skills in one or more areas: (drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, video, multimedia, photography.)
Experience with social media, internet, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Creative Suit.

Starting in Sept 2024 – April 2025
