Dreams of Biogenesis imagines the birth of life on our planet as a reverie of molecules, cells, micro and multicellular organisms assembling and evolving under unique environmental conditions. Inspired by the research of SETI Institute Drake Award recipients Dr. David Deamer and Dr. John Baross, this work holds multiple visions, hypotheses and daydreams of the origins of life on our planet within a single frame. Dreams of Biogenesis results in an original collage on paper, an editioned digital print reproduction, and a stop motion animation featuring moving collage elements that illustrate the cavalcade of life at a microscopic scale.
This work was commissioned by SETI Institute in Mountain View, California, in collaboration with the SETI AIR Program.
