Ever wonder what your Microbiota may look like?
Join us for a free public workshop with team member Nathalie Dubois Calero on March 18th from 11 am-12:30 pm at the INCUBATOR Art Lab Studio located at 144 University Ave W.
The human Microbiota is a unique collection of microorganisms living on us. Learn more about microbial identities and create your very own Microbiotal Tattoo.
This class is for ages 16+.
Please note the studio does not recommend food or drink because of lab health and safety precautions.
My name is Nathalie Dubois Calero, and I am a member of the INCUBATOR Art Lab at the University of Windsor. I am a fully self-accepted BacterVirHuman, bioartist (BFA, MFA Student), and scientist (Ph.D. in plant science). My works are a feminist act of peace-making with my non-human components. I love working with microbes for workshops, performances, videos, and object-making. My recent project, BacterHuman, focuses on the cutaneous microbiota (all the microorganisms living on and inside the skin) and our multifaceted relationships with it. My work has been exhibited locally and internationally.
