Open Streets Windsor 2021

Creative City - School of Creative Arts, University of Windsor
October 17th, 2021

On September 17th, 2021, the School of Creative Arts at the University of Windsor and INCUBATOR Art Lab participated in Open Streets Windsor 2021. This was a free community event where the streets were temporarily closed to cars and filled with local talent!

The School of Creative Arts contribution to Open Street Windsor was a collaborative art project called Creative City. There were three stations set up in front of the Armouries where locals created city buildings with blank boxes, scissors, tape, and other materials needed to make a building! INCUBATOR Art Lab also had a booth set up where team members discussed bio art, algae, making a Paper Theatre Laboratory, the new studio and of course Dr. Jennifer Willet's Duck Decoy Train!

The event was a great success, though the wind picked up and almost blew away the creative city! Luckily all the building are now safe inside the School of Creative Arts. Thank you to everyone who participated in the event!
